The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex gained over 79 points in opening trade today on fresh capital inflows by foreign funds.The sensex was trading at 17408, up by over 22 points when reports last came in. The wide-based National Stock Exchange's Nifty also moved up by 8 points to 5,231 points.
