The BSE benchmark Sensex rose over 58 points in early trade today on selective buying by funds amid a mixed trend on other Asian bourses. The National Stock Exchange index Nifty also gained 14 to 5,907.The rupee today further lost 10 paise to 62 rupees 85 paise against the dollar in early trade due to appreciation of the greenback against other currencies overseas. The rupee closed 15 paise lower to 62 rupees 75 paise a dollar in yesterday's trade on month-end demand from importers.Meanwhile, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange rose by 58 points to 19,978 in early trade today.
