Largely maintaining its modest initial gains, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange stood 32 points, or 0.2 percent in positive territory, at 19,888 in afternoon trade, a short while ago. Earlier in the morning, the Sensex had gained 41 points, or 0.2 percent, to 19,897, on selective buying by funds, amid the Reserve Bank's plans to take steps to ensure adequate supply of money for credit flows. Stock markets in Japan, China, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Indonesia and South Korea were trading mixed, today. The US Dow Jones Industrial Average had ended 0.4 per cent lower in yesterday's trade.
