The BSE benchmark Sensex surged over 285 points during the noon trade today. The 30-share barometer, which was up by 169 points in early trade today, further rose to reach 285 points, to 16,306 during noon. Similarly, the wide-based National Stock Exchange index Nifty up by 87 points, to 4,952.
