The Bombay Stock Exchange benchmark Sensex gained over 217 points to stood at 19507 points in afternoon trade a short while ago. In opening trade it gained over 137 points. Brokers said overnight gains in the US market and a firm trend on Asian bourses buoyed the trading sentiment in domestic markets.
