The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange rose 151 points, or 0.8 per cent, to regain the psychological 19,000 mark, at 19,029, in opening trade, this morning, on across-the-board buying by investors, amid rising Asian bourses. Later, the Sensex gained further ground, and stood 224 points, or 1.2 per cent in the green, at 19,102 in afternoon trade, a short while ago.Stock markets in Japan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, Taiwan and South Korea had gained between 0.1 percent and 0.8 percent, today. The US Dow Jones Industrial Average had ended 0.3 per cent higher, to close at an over five-year high, yesterday.
