The Bombay Stock Exchange Sensex today ended above the 20,000 mark up by 143.58 points at 20,082.62.The 30-share index hit a high of 20,119.14 and a low of 19,908.80 intraday. The National Stock Exchange Nifty also rose by 44.60 points to end at 6,094.75. The broader index touched a high of 6,105.30 and low of 6,045.60 intraday. The BSE Midcap Index was up by 0.15 per cent and the BSE Smallcap Index was 0.14 per cent higher. Among the sectoral indices, the BSE Auto Index was up by 2.14 per cent, the BSE FMCG Index gained 1.44 per cent, the BSE Bankex advanced by 1.30 per cent and the BSE Healthcare Index advanced by 0.49 per cent. The BSE Power Index was down by 0.56 per cent and the BSE Metal Index declined by 0.26 per cent.
