Sensex gains over 100 points in afternoon trade

Coming off the day's highs, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange still stood 104 points, or 0.5 percent in the positive zone, at 21,244 a short while ago. Earlier in the morning, the Sensex had climbed 48 points, or 0.2 per cent, to 21,189, on selective buying by funds and retail investors.But stock markets in China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and South Korea had lost between 0.1 percent and 1.8 percent, today, after a gauge of manufacturing in China declined.
