The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange gained 89 points, to close at a nearly three-week high of 19,984, today, after the Reserve Bank acted to improve liquidity in the system, and as regional bourses gained ground. During the session, the Sensex had crossed the psychological 20,000 mark. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange rose 22 points, to 5,928.
