The BSE benchmark Sensex gained 77 points to 19,749 in afternoon trade. Earlier Sensex had recovered by over 194 points to 19,604 in opening trade on fresh buying by funds and retailers on expectations of a rate cut by the Reserve Bank in its monetary policy review next week.Similarly, the wide-based National Stock Exchange index Nifty moved up by 13 points to 5,922.
