Sensex gains 67 points ; trading at 18,741pts

The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange stood 67 points, or 0.4 percent in positive territory, at 18,741, after volatile trade, a short while ago. Earlier in the morning, the Sensex had opened a good 117 points, or 0.6 per cent in the green, at 18,790, on fresh buying by investors, after the government cleared a proposal to restructure debt worth nearly 2 lakh crore rupees for state electricity boards.Stock markets in China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Indonesia, Japan and Singapore were trading mixed, today. Over in the US, the Dow Jones Industrial Average had lost 0.2 percent, overnight.
