Sensex gains 41 points in early trade

The BSE benchmark Sensex recovered 41 points today to trade at 19,897 in early trade on selective buying by participants amid RBI plans to take steps to ensure adequate supply of money for credit flows. The sentiments also improved on today being the last session of current month's expiry in the derivatives segment.The wide-based National Stock Exchange index Nifty moved up by 12 points to 5,886.In the Asian region, Hong Kong's Hang Seng index fell 0.49 per cent, while Japan's Nikkei up by 0.34 per cent inthe early trade.The US Dow Jones Industrial Average ended 0.40 per cent lower in yesterday's trade.
