Sensex gains 38 pts in noon trade

The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange stood 38 points, or 0.2 percent in the green, at 18,469, amid range-bound trade, in afternoon deals, a short while ago. Earlier in the morning, the Sensex had opened with a modest gain of 43 points, or 0.2 per cent, at 18,474, on fresh buying by funds.Stock markets in Japan, China, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and South Korea were trading mixed, today. The US stock markets were closed for the second day in a row, yesterday, due to mega-storm, Sandy.
