Recovering from initial losses, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange stood 36 points, or 0.2 per cent in positive territory, at 18,711, in afternoon deals, a short while ago. Earlier in the morning, however, the Sensex had opened with a loss of 75 points, or 0.4 per cent, at 18,60l, on selling by investors, amid weak regional markets. Other Asian markets in Japan, China, Hong Kong, South Korea and Taiwan were down by between 0.1 percent and 0.7 percent, today, as concerns about Europe and some mixed signals on the state of the Chinese economy kept investors sidelined.
