The benchmark Sensex added nearly 200 points in the afternoon trade following uptrend in Asian markets. Trading in the green zone since it opened in the morning the 30 share index crossed the 18000 mark a short while ago, trading up by 169 points. Earlier in the morning, after three straight days of losses, the wide based Sensex recovered by over 100 points in opening trade. The 30-share barometer, which lost over 520 points in the previous three sessions, rose by 100 points, or 0.56 per cent with stocks of IT, auto, realty and capital goods companies supporting the recovery. The wide-based National Stock Exchange Nifty is also trading in green. It was up by 54 points, at 5418 a short while ago.
