The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange rose 175 points, or 0.9 percent, to 19,879, in the afternoon trade, a short while ago. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange advanced 40 points, or 0.7 percent, to 6,024.In other Asian markets, key indices in China, Hong Kong, South Korea and Singapore gained between 0.1 percent and 0.4 percent, in intra-day trade.
