Recovering from initial losses, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange stood a good 152 points, or 0.8 percent in the positive zone, at 18,969 in afternoon deals, a short while ago.Earlier in the morning, however, the Sensex had opened 24 points, or 0.1 per cent in negative territory, at 18,794, as funds and retail investors locked-in gains after five sessions of gains. The 30-share Sensex had advanced over 380 points in the last five trading sessions. Key stock indices in Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, South Korea, Taiwan and Indonesia had posted modest gains of between 0.1 percent and 0.6 percent, today. The US Dow Jones Industrial Average had ended 1 per cent higher in yesterday's trade.
