The BSE benchmark Sensex gained 144 points to 19,550 in late morning trade. Earlier Sensex was recovered by over 194 points to 19,604 in opening trade on fresh buying by funds and retailers on expectations of a rate cut by the Reserve Bank in its monetary policy review next week.Similarly, the wide-based National Stock Exchange index Nifty moved up by 36 points to 5,945.
