Gaining for the third straight session, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange advanced 143 points, or 0.8 percent, to close above the 17,000 level, at 17,065, Friday. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange jumped 41 points, or 0.8 percent, to 5,119.
