Maintaining the upward trend, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange was trading 134 points in the positive territory at 17,739 in afternoon trade, when reports last came in.The 30-share index shot up by 218 points, or 1.24 per cent in opening trade today, but later lost some ground in late morning deals to trade around 120 points in the positive zone.In a similar fashion, the wide-based Nifty of the National Stock Exchange was trading 44 points up at 5,369.In Asia, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index rose by 1.13 per cent and Japan's Nikkei by 1.05 per cent in early trade today. The Dow Jones Industrial Average ended higher by 1.23 per cent on Friday's trade.
