The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange today, gained 12 points, or 0.1 percent, at 18,693, in afternoon trade, a short while ago. The Nifty of the National Stock Exchange was trading flat at 5,634. Earlier recovering losses of the morning session, the Sensex was up by nearly 28 points points during afternoon deals. The 30-share barometer which was down by 60 points in early trade, recovered the losses and was trading in the green.Similarly, the Nifty at the National Stock Exchange also recovered its initial losses and was up by 6 points to 5,639.In the Asian region, Hong Kong's Hang Seng index shed 0.19 per cent, while Japan's Nikkei fell 0.67 per cent in early trade today. The US Dow Jones Industrial Average ended 0.44 per cent lower in yesterday's trade.
