The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange gained 117 points, or 0.6 percent, to close at a six-week high of 19,504, on strong buying in FMCG stocks, amid largely rising Asian markets, today. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange rose 26 points, or 0.4 percent, to 5,930.Stock markets in Hong Kong, South Korea and Singapore rose between 0.2 percent and 1.2 percent.
