Lifted by encouraging third quarter earnings by State Bank of India, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange rose 88 points, to 19,096 in opening trade, today. Later, after advancing more than 180 points at one stage, the Sensex pared its gains, to stand 117 points in the green, at 19,125, in afternoon deals, a short while ago. Other Asian markets in Japan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, China, South Korea and Singapore were trading mixed, ahead of a US central bank meeting, this week.
