Sensex gains 110 points, Nifty rises by 28 points in noon trade

The BSE benchmark Sensex rose by 110 points in the noon trade and it was trading at 19,802 a shortwhile ago. Earlier it rose by 65 points in the opening trade today, extending two-session winning streak on sustained buying by funds and retail investors, driven by a firming trend on the other Asian bourses. In a similar fashion, the broad-based National StockExchange Nifty index moved 28 points up to 5,935.Meanwhile, the Hong Kong's Hang Seng index was up 0.27 per cent while, the Japan's Nikkei gained 0.05 per cent in the morning trade today.The US Dow Jones Industrial Average ended 0.16 per cent up in the previous session.
