Rising for the fifth day in a row, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange gained 102 points, or 0.6 percent, to 17,707, today, on continued buying by funds, amid firm Asian markets. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange climbed 36 points, or 0.6 percent, to 5,362.
