Rising for the third straight session, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange gained 101 points, or 0.6 percent, to 17,574. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange advanced 24 points, or 0.5 percent, to 5,269.But stock markets in Japan, China, Hong Kong, and South Korea fell between 0.3 percent and 1.3 percent.
