The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange gained 102 points, or 0.6 per cent, to 17,124 in opening trade, this morning.Firming up further, the Sensex stood 141.88 points, or 0.9 percent in the green, at 17,163.73, at 2.00 pm. The Nifty hovers around 5100. Stock markets in China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Singapore were all modestly higher.
