The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange declined 183 points in early trade today, as funds and retail investors engaged in reducing positions amid a weakening rupee.The 30-share barometer, which had lost 573 points in the past four sessions, fell by 183 points to 20,482.41.Stocks of banking, realty, capital goods, metal, auto, oil and gas sectors were the major losers that dragged down the Sensex.Similarly, the National Stock Exchange index Nifty fell by 69 points to 6,070.85.Meanwhile, in the Asian region, Japan's Nikkei Index was up 1.33 per cent, while Hong Kong's Hang Seng index gained0.15 per cent in early trade.The US Dow Jones Industrial Average ended 1.08 per cent higher in the previous session on Friday on strong US jobs figures.
