Falling for the eighth straight session, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange lost 24 points, or 0.1 percent, to close at the year's low of 19,461,on monday. This is the longest losing streak for the Sensex since May 2011. The Sensex has now lost over 540 points in the last eight trading sessions. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange fell 6 points, or 0.1 percent, to 5,898.Stock markets in Japan, China, Hong Kong, South Korea and Singapore were all closed for a holiday.
