The BSE benchmark index Sensex that shot up to 328 points on Wednesday fell by 52 points in early trade today, due to profit- booking by investors amid a mix Asian trend. The 30-share barometer declined by 52 points, or 0.29 per cent, to 17,549.78, with metal, realty, capital goods and IT stocks leading the fall. Similarly, the wide-based National Stock Exchange Nifty index moved down by 17.80 points, or 0.33 per cent, to 5,347.15.In the Asian region, the Hong Kong's Hang Seng shed 0.10 per cent, while the Japan's Nikkei was up 0.16 per cent in early trade this morning. In the US, the Dow Jones Industrial Average ended 0.35 per cent lower in the previous session on Wednesday.
