Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange fell 99 points, or 0.6 per cent, to 16,187, in opening trade, today, amid a weak global trend. After recovering partially, the Sensex stood 21 points, or 0.1 percent in the red, at 16,265, a short while ago. And as the Railway Budget was presented in the Lok Sabha, railway-related stocks, like Kernex Micro, Titagarh Wagons, Texmaco and Kalindee slipped deep into the red. Meanwhile, stock markets in Japan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, South Korea, Singapore and Taiwan were down by between 0.5 percent and 1 percent.
