The BSE benchmark Sensex fell for the second straight day today on sustained selling by funds amid a mixed trend in other Asian markets. The 30-share barometer fell by 62 points to 19,161 in early trade. Stocks of oil and gas, consumer durables, capital goods and banking sectors were major losers, pulling down the benchmark Sensex.The wide-based National Stock Exchange index, Nifty dipped below 5,800 points mark by falling 17 points to 5,796. In the Asian region, Hong Kong's Hang Seng index traded lower by 0.18 per cent, while Japan's Nikkei Index rose 1.25 per cent, in early trade.The US Dow Jones Industrial Average ended 0.91 per cent higher in yesterday's trade.
