The benchmark BSE Sensex today fell over 39 points, or 0.19 per cent, in early trade on sustained selling by funds amid a weak trend in other Asian markets.The National Stock Exchange index,Nifty, also declined by 13.75 points, or 0.22 per cent, to 6,188.10.Brokers said sustained selling by funds amid a weak trend in the Asian region following overnight weakness at the US market mainly influenced the trading sentiment.The rupee also depreciated by 6 paise to 62.42 against the dollar in early trade at the Interbank Foreign Exchange market on increased demand of the US currency from banks and importers.
