The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange today fell by 179 points to 19,255 in late morning deals. The 30-share benchmark index had lost over 183 points in early trade today, due to sustained selling by funds amid a weak trend on other Asian bourses.The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange declined by 48 points, to 5,824.
