The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange fell 183 points, or 0.9 per cent, to 19,244 in early trade, today, on sustained selling by funds, amid falling regional bourses. Later, the Sensex remained weak and stood 175 points, or 0.9 per cent in the red, at 19,252 in afternoon trade, a short while ago.Other Asian markets in Japan, China, Hong Kong, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan and Indonesia had dropped between 0.1 percent and 2.2 percent, today, on fresh euro-zone fears, after news that Cyprus was planning to tax bank deposits as part of a bailout deal.
