Sensex falls 150 points in early trade

The BSE benchmark index Sensex today fell by 150 points in early trade, due to fresh selling by funds amid a weak trend on other Asian bourses. The 30-share barometer, which had gained 21.70 points yesterday, lost 150 points to 17,093 in the early trade.In a similar fashion, the wide-based National Stock Exchange index Nifty dipped below 5,200 points to trade lower by 49 at 5,194.40.In Asia, the Hong Kong's Hang Seng index fell by 1.27 per cent, while Japan's Nikkei was down by 1.17 per cent in the early trade today.
