Lifted by easing food inflation, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange extended its gains for the fifth straight session, climbing 206 points, or 1.1 percent, to 18,507, on Thursday. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange advanced 65 points, or 1.2 percent, to 5,546. Stock markets in Japan, China, Hong Kong, South Korea and Singapore ended mixed.
