The BSE Sensex erased its early gains and was trading 5 points down at 17, 420 a short while ago. It gained over 92 points in early trade.On the similar lines, the wide-based National Stock Exchange Nifty index was also trading down by 5 points to 5, 282.In Asia, Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index was up 0.50 per cent, while Japan's Nikkei Index rose by 0.70 per cent in morning trade.In the US, the Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 0.56 per cent higher.
