On the back of positive global cues the Indian stock markets ended in positive for the third straight day. The BSE Sensex today ended 94 points higher to close at 16158. Aggressive buying in selective frontline stocks like PSU, realty and metal stocks led the advances in the markets today. In the broader market indices the BSE Midcap index gained 139 points to close at 6254 and the BSE small cap index surged by 157 points to close at 7171. The NSE Nifty ended 30.60 points up to close at 4796.15.

Sensex ends positive for third straight day
