Sensex ends below 20K

Snapping a four-day rally, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange closed with a modest loss of 26 points, or 0.1 percent, at 19,967, after choppy trade, today, as investors turned cautious and booked profits, after market regulator, SEBI barred four companies from trading. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange slipped 19 points, or 0.3 percent, to 5,993. Stock markets in Japan, China, Hong Kong, South Korea and Singapore ended mixed.
