Rising for the second straight session, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange spurted 385 points, or 2 percent, to close at 19,902, today, on expectations that the partial US government shutdown will force the Fed to avoid tapering its stimulus programme soon. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange surged 130 points, or 2.2 percent, to 5,910.Stock markets in Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore ended mixed.
