Rising for the second straight session, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange spurted 385 points, or 2 percent, to close at 19,902, today, as the partial US government shutdown eased investor concerns about the Federal Reserve tapering its stimulus programme anytime soon. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange surged 130 points, or 2.2 percent, to 5,910.Stock markets in Japan, Hong Kong and Singapore ended mixed.
