Snapping two day's of losses, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange rose 46 points, or 0.3 per cent, to close at 17,956, today, helped by better-than-expected quarterly results of IT major, TCS, and positive European markets.The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange gained 15 points, or 0.3 percent, at 5,394.Stock markets in Japan, China, Hong Kong, and South Korea lost between 0.1 percent and 3 percent.
