The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange fell 40 points, or 0.2 percent, to close at 17, 561, on Thursday. The Nifty of the National Stock Exchange shed 15 points, or 0.3 percent, to 5,323.In other Asian markets, Japan, China, Hong Kong and South Korea gained between 0.6 percent and 2 percent.
