Recovering from initial losses, the Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange closed with a gain of 38 points, or 0.2 percent, at 18,714, on the back of strong European markets on Monday.The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange rose 11 points, or 0.2 percent, to 5,687.Stock markets in Japan, China, Hong Kong, South Korea and Singapore ended mixed.
