The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange recovered from its lows of the day, but still closed with a loss of 266 points, or 1.3 percent, at 19,692, today, on profit-booking and geo-political tensions in East Asia. Earlier, the Sensex had fallen as much as 615 points in afternoon trade. Stock markets in China, Hong Kong, Singapore and South Korea dropped between 0.8 percent and 2.7 percent.
