The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange closed 191 points, or 1.1 percent lower, at 16,860, amid weak global markets, today. The Nifty at the National Stock Exchange shed 58 points, or 1.1 percent, to 5,036. Stock markets in Japan, China, Hong Kong, South Korea and Singapore closed between 0.7 percent and 2.5 percent lower.
