The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange had lost 32 points, or 0.2 percent, to 19,710 in volatile afternoon trade, a short while ago. Earlier in the morning, the Sensex had declined 55 points, or 0.3 per cent, to 19,687 on profit-booking by funds and retail investors. Stock markets in Japan, China, Hong Kong and South Korea had dropped between 0.4 percent and 2 percent, today. But the US Dow Jones Industrial Average had ended 0.8 per cent higher in yesterday's trade.
