The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange fell 75 points, or 0.4 per cent, to 19,256 in early trade, today, as funds and retail investors booked profits, amid weak Asian bourses. Later, selling pressure intensified, and the Sensex had lost 211 points, or 1.1 per cent, to stand at 19,120, in afternoon trade, a short while ago.Other Asian markets also lost ground, with key stock indices in Japan, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Singapore and South Korea dropping between 0.4 percent and 2.2 percent, today. The US Dow Jones Industrial Average had tumbled 1.6 per cent lower in yesterday's trade, as investors fretted over a political deadlock that seemed to be facing Italy, following general elections.

Sensex drops over 200 points in afternoon trade
