Sensex down by over 100 points in afternoon trade

The Sensex at the Bombay Stock Exchange fell 113 points, 0.6 per cent, to 19,452 in early trade, today, on sustained selling by funds, amid weakness in the regional bourses.Later, the Sensex remained subdued, and stood 104 points, or 0.5 per cent in the red, at 19,461 in afternoon trade, a short while ago. The 30-share Sensex had lost nearly 120 points in the previous two trading sessions.Stock markets in Japan, China, Hong Kong, Indonesia, Taiwan and Singapore had declined between 0.1 percent and 0.9 percent, today.
